While I wouldn’t describe myself as a comper (a person who regularly enters competitions as a hobby or career) I do love indulging in the occasional travel giveaway and I’ve won some wonderful things over the years. What’s more I enjoy running them on my blog as much as entering them and I’ve a great little giveaway of my own at the end of this post but first I’d like to introduce you to the Matthews…
Meet the Matthews family and win a voucher from Nature’s Presence
I recently visited my friends at Rickshaw Travel, a great Brighton based company offering meaningful holiday experiences, to interview the Matthews. Having won a holiday to Bali in Indonesia, travelling with Rickshaw Travel had a huge impact on the whole family, transforming them from typical package holiday makers to real travellers seeking new experiences. They found the combination of hotel and home-stay travel with time relaxing by the pool or the beach interspersed with adventures with the locals a revelation.
I love Rickshaw’s style of travel. On their website you can select bite-size experiences (such as local home-stays, a day out cycling with a local, unique locally run hotels and memorable excursions run by locals) and put them all together like a jigsaw to create your perfect holiday. As you can see it’s all about connecting with locals and having meaningful experiences. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Matthews family and chatting about their adventures in Bali. Head over here to Rickshaw Travel’s blog, take a look at the video and answer a simple question for your chance to win a £25 voucher from Nature’s Presence, who offer a range of beautiful homeware made from natural and reclaimed material. (Hint: the answer’s in the video). You have until 6th December to enter.

Win a Pure Potions Rescue Salve Travel Pack
One of my favourite skin care ranges is Pure Potions. They make a great selection of products with natural ingredients that haven’t been tested on animals. I particularly love their Skin Salvation Daily Moisturiser from their Dry Skin Range. It’s free from artificial chemicals, perfumes and parabens, a natural, soothing and nourishing solution to troubled skin and it really soothes my eczema.
I also can’t do without these first aid mini pots on my travels and I’ve a set of four of these rescue salves to giveaway.
The Arnica Rescue Salve is recommended for sprains, strains and bruises. It came in very handy following a little tumble down the stairs I took recently, that left my arm badly bruised. While it didn’t help heal my bruised pride, it was wonderful on my arm. The others in the range are just as useful. Calendula & Comfrey Rescue Salve is suitable for use on cuts and grazes. You can use the Lavender Rescue Salve on minor burns, sunburn, chapped skin and as a lip salve. While the Tea Tree Rescue Salve is great on cold sores, bites, stings and fungal conditions.

I love the sound of travelling the Rickshaw Travel way. Presumably if you are already in a destination you can simply add on one of their excursions?
I believe so Jane.
It’s wonderful to be able to meet local people when on holiday. We went to Bali in September and had an amazing time like the Matthews family
Most often the highlight of any trip for me 🙂
I have a mini first aid kit in my handbag and a full sized first aid kit In my car.
My friends had a holiday with Rickshaw Travel and loved it. Sounds far more interesting than your every day holiday. I llike getting away from the internet on holiday so Tep wouldn’t be for me. The rescue salves sound really useful so fingers crossed on that one.
Thanks for including our giveaway. We are trying out TEP for the first time on our 2 month roadtrip starting Friday! But think I might go win your prize now 😀
My pleasure! I love Tep 🙂
I must look into Tep Wireless for my next trip – it would be so convenient to have Tep on tap!
I found it so useful and I’d certainly recommend it.
