From the colours of the sea to the colourful cocktails, the bright green iguanas and the pretty pastel buildings, nowhere in the world have I enjoyed sharing on Instagram, as much as I did Aruba.
This lovely Dutch Caribbean island just off the coast of Venezuela has many beautiful beaches of fine powdery white sand, and the clearest aquamarine water. The food really blew me away too, and you can discover Where and What to Eat and Drink in Aruba here.
Kick off your shoes and imagine your feet in the sand, as I take you on a quick tour of the Aruba via Instagram.

I love the idea of foraging on a Caribbean island – not the first thing that springs to mind, but a worthwhile activity. Great photos!
Thanks Sara. It’s a very photogenic island. The foraging surprised me a little but was reallyY interesting.
Really gorgeous photos! The water looks heavenly and the sand is so white and powdery! Hoping to make it to St Maarten later this month to escape the Seattle rain. I’ll definitely look into Aruba for a future trip!
Thanks Erika! Have a wonderful time in St Maarten. I’ll look out for your posts. And do pop Aruba on your wishlist. It’s a fabulous little island.
Um, wow. That iguana is amazing! The colors on all of these pictures are so vibrant and beautiful. Aruba has been on my list for a while now so judging by these pictures I must go! You look super cute and happy sitting on the beach and that food looks amazing. I am a sucker for some good seafood! You would think that all places close to the water would have fresh tasting seafood but some places I have been, that’s not the case!
Ha ha! I wish that was me on the beach. That is actually our instructor. And she is as beautiful on the inside, as she is on the outside.
Lovely tour of Aruba. It looks like a nice place to unwind and relax and the beach looks fabulous. The 3D iguana art looks interesting.
Great gallery you have here Kat! Looks like you really enjoyed your Aruba trip. How I wish I can go back to the Caribbean. I’ve only been to Jamaica and I love every second of it. 🙂
Thank you, Ryan. I do hope you get to go back one day, whether to Aruba, Jamaica or another island.
Beautiful photos, the water, the beaches, it all looks amazing. Love the iguanas too! They’re such colourful and fascinating creatures to observe.
Thanks, Juliette. The iguanas were wonderful. Have you seen them run? So funny!
Those beaches look so incredible! I’ve never been to Aruba, but I’ve heard really great things. That seafood though… mmmm 🙂
Aaaah, the food! So very good 🙂
Lovely colourful post here, definitely a place to add to my list of must-visit places. Especially when I read about morning yoga, how delightful.
The yoga was superb. I’ve always loved the idea of yoga by the sea and it did’;t disappoint. Maria, our instructor, was brilliant – my favourite yoga class EVER!
Love the images shared here, from what I can see Aruba is much like Jamaica … although with its own slice of Caribbean personality! I look forward to going one day.

Thanks! I’ve not been to Jamaica so I can’t really compare but it’s a really lovely island with a lot to offer.
